Weaving Weeping Willow: Intertwining


Weeping willow branches are weaved together
Sogetsu combined style, 
nageire & moribana

Although cutting, bending and fixing are the main techniques of Ikebana, we  should consider a more advanced one, intertwining as one of them. Since weaving is an ancient technique to make everyday items, it comes naturally to use it in creating new and interesting ikebana.

Below you can see a more ambitious arrangement which combines all the plant materials above in one single voluminous container. Trials at home :)
