Ikebana Exhibition Ariana Museum

Ikebana International Geneva Chapter's Exhibition takes place in Musee Ariana, Geneva's beautiful Ceramics Museum, 1-3 October 2021.

This is an incredible opportunity to show ikebana compositions side by side the wonderful historic and contemporary ceramic and glass collection of the museum.

For this occasion, I have chosen one of my own vases that I created in line with my ceramic artwork. I used some of my earlier works as a complementary to the composition. You can check my ceramics website for my recent artwork in ceramics.

Colorful Hortensias in a Tent of Bambou

Although this is not a good photo at all, I just want to add it here because I love this arrangement very much. The two colored hortensias match on perfectly with the ceramic containers. The bambou structure with an extravagant curvy hazelnut branch is just wonderful to the eye. The tall and elegant alliums add the final touch to the composition.  Just as a side note, this arrangement is done without kenzan.

Hortensia, Allium, Bambou, Curvy Hazelnut

The tonal variation of purple and greens
of this hortensia is incredible!

A bit of spring from my garden

These two tiny vases inspired me to cut some wild flowers from the garden and bring some spring colors to the kitchen table this morning.
